Who We Are

Lasree Playhouse is a community-focused organisation committed to empowering young people and emerging entrepreneurs with the skills, support and opportunities they need to build sustainable futures.

We believe development should lead somewhere. Not just to a certificate, but to confidence, work, income and long-term independence. That is why our work brings together youth development, skills and artisan training, creative and talent development, entrepreneurship, SMME support, psychosocial wellbeing and market access.

We work alongside young people, communities, funders, government departments, SETAs, corporate partners and other stakeholders to turn that commitment into real pathways.

Our Mission

To empower young people, emerging entrepreneurs and underserved communities through accessible skills development, artisan training, creative and talent development, entrepreneurship support, mentorship and psychosocial wellbeing initiatives.

We are committed to creating practical pathways that connect people to workplace experience, employment, enterprise development and market opportunities — so they can build confidence, sustainable livelihoods and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Our Vision

To build thriving, empowered communities where young people and emerging entrepreneurs have the skills, confidence, support and opportunities to turn their potential into sustainable livelihoods, successful enterprises and meaningful careers.
